A little about myself

My journey into the world of art began in childhood painting scenery on paper plates with mom at the kitchen table and, of course, watching Bob Ross!

Over the years, art has often taken a backseat. As my college career shifted from commercial art to music...violin performance to be exact.. a minor in graphic design, as well as owning/running our music school for fifteen years and homeschooling our two amazing kids helped keep my creative side alive...even if it was just on life support!
Art has repeatedly been a therapeutic outlet for me during difficult times - this was especially true after the loss of our first daughter and then later with a cancer diagnosis and treatment that didn't go as planned. I dove in head first into the thing that has helped me release tension so many times. Art. I started painting on Christmas bulbs and selling them local boutiques. Then as doors opened, I walked through them.
Since then, I've met so many wonderful people and had experiences I wouldn't have dreamed possible.

The Pensacola area is brimming with artists and photographers. And it's wonderful to see the collaboration and support for each other and from the community in general. I have been met with encouragement at every turn.
I feel so blessed that I have truly been given "joy in my mourning."
I'm able to do what I love and pray that I can share that joy with you.

I love seeing how stories are written into the spaces and people around us.
